The Introductory trial day is highly recommended to those students serious about gaining their PPLH. Your day will comprise of two and a half hours of flying in the Robinson R22 helicopter, several ground briefings and lunch.

From Liverpool in Merseyside, valid 6 months, 1 participant.

What's included

A warm welcome will await you at the Helicentre, where you will be introduced to your personal instructor. All the courses are based on one to one tuition and your instructor will be pleased to discuss with you your individual needs and requirements to get the most out of your day.
 
Your instructor will give you a briefing on an introduction to Helicopters and explain the effects of the controls before taking you on your first flight of the day and letting you have ‘hands on control’ of the helicopter.
 
Once back at the airfield you are ‘debriefed’ (over coffee) and have lunch with your instructor before you take to the skies again. The afternoon schedule will consist of a navigation exercise (possibly over the area where you live depending on location) where you can really experience the freedom of helicopter flying and enjoy spectacular views.
 
On returning to the airfield you will be introduced to the low level flight exercises which include, spot turns, sideways and backwards, quick stops and hovering.
 
At this stage you will have a good idea of what is involved to gain access to a very select aviation class of pilot, the PPL(H) - Private Pilots Licence (Helicopters). Your instructor will be pleased to discuss the next step with you to gain either a recreational licence or a career move to aviation.
 
We are sure your time with us will be memorable, but just to remind you of your special day you will be presented with a certificate.
 
All the flight times will be recorded and can go towards YOUR Private Pilot's Licence

Voucher

Each voucher entitles one person to participate in this experience. The voucher is transferable, which means that anyone can use it. The voucher remains valid for bookings for 6 months from the date of purchase. Please contact the operator using the details printed on your voucher to arrange a date for your event.

Special Conditions

Weight restriction is approximately 16 stones (subject to physical size). Minimum age requirement is 14 years of age.

Booking your event

We recommend that you purchase your voucher and make a booking for your event at least one month prior to your chosen date. This is particularly important for weekend events.
